By John Trapani Today, it seems that everyone is using Zoom for virtual meetings. Zoom has become the “Kleenex” of live meeting platforms and it’s what people think of when they want to hold a virtual event.
And for good reason. Zoom is a great platform for what it was designed for – multicamera live meetings. It is robust, the interface is well designed, and it’s fairly easy to learn. So, if you are using live virtual meetings in your business, then Zoom needs to be on your list of platforms. The challenge you now face is how do you stand out from the thousands Zoom calls being created everyday? Since anyone can turn their laptop on and host a Zoom call - how do you not look like your average Zoom call to grandma? Well, you stand out through great production. You do not just turn on your laptop and start talking into your webcam. You make sure that your video and audio look professional and you bring in all different kinds of content to engage your audience. Now sure there are times when all you need to do is have a video call with a couple of internal people or maybe a supplier. But, when you are representing your business in the market, engaging with clients and customers, you need to stand out. Today, you can create a professional, engaging virtual event and incorporate that into a platform like Zoom. You can have multiple cameras, video, graphics, remote speakers - and do it very cost effectively. Give us a call and we will help you create a fantastic event. Be it product promotions, sales training, product updates, and the like. Businesses are always looking to increase revenue and keeping your customers informed of the wonderful things your company is doing is a great use of webinars.
But webinars are not just a marketing tool that can help increase sales. A webinar, a web conference, or any live streaming media, is an engaging form of live communication that can help a business lower costs and improve efficiency. Here’s an example. Supplier Relationships One area that a lot of companies seem to neglect is supplier relationship management. Like we just mentioned, companies are focused on fostering customer loyalty, but that’s not the only relationship that should be nurtured. A good relationship with key suppliers can be crucial to the success of the business. And what’s a key component of any good relationship? That’s right…communication. Using live webinars to communicate with your supplier is a fantastic way of relaying information and getting their immediate feedback. Here are some ideas on how to use webinars to communicate with key suppliers:
Live web conferencing – webinars – allow for more engaging communication than a broadcast email or a group conference call. Graphics, video, and screen sharing can greatly enhance the flow of information. And again, being able to answer their questions live and all at once can save time and reduce frustrations down the road. Why not? Managing supplier relationships can be crucial to your organization. Frequent and engaging communication is key to enhancing the relationships. Utilizing webinars to communicate is an easy and effective way convey information and get immediate feedback. Contact us and we’ll explain how easy it is to create and deliver engaging webinars. If you sell a product, then customer user group meetings are a fantastic way to improve your product marketing efforts. A user group is basically a group of current customers that are – you guessed it, using your product. When you host a user group meeting, you are bringing together a select group of users, usually your biggest customers, to discuss how and why they use your products.
From my own experience - after working over 25 years in various manufacturing companies - user groups can be invaluable product marketing tools and they can show you exactly how your customers use your products, why they like or dislike certain features, and how to build community around your brand. But I find that a lot of smaller companies are not utilizing user groups. Many smaller companies are stretched thin and don't have the time or resources to organize a meeting, set-up a venue, and send key people to the meeting location. In addition, the costs associated with renting the venue, travel, and lost work, are just too much for a lot of companies. But today, a user group meeting doesn't have to be time consuming and costly. Virtual Group Meetings We truly live in an amazing time in regards to business communications. What can be done today with the right off-the-shelf equipment and a decent internet connection wasn't available to the average small company 10 years ago. With the rapid adoption of cloud conferencing solutions, an engaging user group meeting with remote customers can be hosted at almost any location. A virtual user group meeting can enable you to have the engagement of a live meeting, but without the time, cost, and hassle of you and your customers travelling to a venue. You can host a user group meeting at your location and even right on your production floor if that had marketing value. For those companies that manufacture or sell large equipment, imagine being able to walk around your product while showing the group various aspects of the machinery during the discussion. If you had to host the user meeting at a venue, then you would be showing only pictures and slides instead of live video of your product. Enhancing Your Brand Another added benefit of a live virtual meeting is that if you host the virtual meeting at your facility, your customers get to experience the people and culture inside the company. You can show case the various people in your company that your customers may interface with, but never get a chance to meet. It is a great way to put a human touch on your brand. Why Not? A customer user group meeting is an excellent marketing tool for your business. And a virtual meeting gives you the benefits of a user group meeting with the added benefits of lower cost and enhanced branding. Contact us and we’ll explain how easily you can host a meeting at your facility. John Trapani John@rivercreststreamingmedia.com (484) 245-4164 |
